Our Start-Up
Conductive Concrete Technologies, LLC. was founded in October 2017 by Dr. Christopher Y. Tuan and his son Christopher B. Tuan. Our Conductive Concrete technologies provide many services to our clients including but not limited to deicing, Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Shielding, and radiant heating. Our concrete technologies are patented and protected both nationally and internationally.

TEAM

Dr. Christopher Y. Tuan
Dr. Christopher Tuan is a professor emeritus of structural engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in structural engineering, and another M.S. degree in engineering mechanics, all from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Tuan has published more than 80 archival papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Tuan had worked as a senior engineer in the U.S. defense industry for 7 years before he joined the faculty at UNL in 1996. His expertise includes finite element modeling, steel design, and structural design for blast resistance. He is a registered professional engineer in the States of Nebraska, Missouri and Indiana.

Dr. Tuan spent 33 years at UNL before his retirement in 2023. He has taught 8 undergraduate and 5 graduate courses during his tenure. Dr. Tuan is world-renowned for his electrically conductive concrete research, and the technology he developed has been implemented in many large-scale construction projects. He has been granted 13 U.S. patents, and three others in Canada, China and Japan, respectively. Dr. Tuan has received many awards for his conductive concrete snowmelt and electromagnetic pulse (EMP) shielding technologies. His conductive concrete work has been featured in numerous news media. He has been a Fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), a member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). He was selected in the 2024 Stanford/Elsevier List of the top 2% of the world’s most influential researchers.
