DEICING

Our deicing Conductive Concrete technology can be used in many places, including but not limited to; driveways, sidewalks, busy main streets, highway bridge decks, highways, airplane runways, airline terminal aprons, bus platforms, and parking garages.

Our concrete has more mechanical strength than ordinary concrete (5,000 to 6,000 PSI), requires low maintenance, has uniform heating distribution, can utilize programmable control features, has a long service life, and features low energy consumption cost ($.02-$.04/SF per snow storm).

Our snow-melt system provides many tangible and intangible benefits.  Some of the economic benefits and sources of value for our system include;

  • Environmental heath- areas with conductive concrete will not require road salt or other snow/ice treating chemicals

  • Protection of life- areas with conductive concrete can save people from slips and falls, preventing injuries and lawsuits

  • Convenience- mobilizing a crew to re-pave an area can be very expensive, time consuming, and inconvenient for the organizers of the effort and for the community (Disruption to traffic flow)

  • Energy savings- areas with conductive concrete have significantly lower energy consumption compared to a hydronic or heated cable snow melt systems

  • Time savings- organizing, managing, and implementing any new changes to a concrete project requires a significant investment in time; but conductive concrete implementation requires only the initial investment of resources

  • Life-cycle cost savings- salting, plowing, repair costs, energy cost, and opportunity costs for using a substitute technology

  • Maintenance Savings- Once the initial investment is made, there is low maintenance compared to other snow-melt technologies
